What the he- What is even
DANDY'S WORLD ??
This question has been ask a ton throughout ROBLOX when this game was new. Even me myself when I heard about the trend and especially Dandy in being LITERALLY EVERYWHERE (Steam games I play and took over partially my YouTube). It nerved me all to hell that time. ... Ahem-
DANDY'S WORLD (or shortened: DW) is a 2024 indie mascot horror game created by Qwelver. DANDY'S WORLD is one of two games Qwelver has created under BlushCrunch Studio, the other one being Flavor Frenzy. DANDY'S WORLD is part of the mascot horror genre and was initially released on June 14th, 2024.
As a ROBLOX game, DANDY'S WORLD requires both an active internet connection and a ROBLOX account in order to play the game. The player can choose to either join a public server or host a private one for free, although private servers are highly recommended if it is your first time playing the game.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FROM AND FOR REAL ROBLOXIAN PLAYERS WHO NEVER HEARD AND/OR PLAYED DANDY'S WORLD BEFORE (BEFORE & AFTER THE GAME'S RELEASE)
This section will cover everything about the ROBLOX Game DANDY'S WORLD from how it gained to be this popular as a trend on the internet till the negatives about the game and its community.
We'll make sure here at GARDENVIEW Entertainment that you are TOP informed and what you should know before hopping into world of DANDY'S WORLD™ and self-awareness in the game and community (also known as fandom) without making it look too bad as possible (from our experience) and you too.
Q1: Okay... first of all...
What made
DANDY'S WORLD
so popular and trending (still)?
This is the TOP no.1 question you should be asking yourself in your thoughts when you suddenly see something popping up newly either in your For You Page, Feed, or Recommendations tab and eventually you're seeing it a lot and EVERYWHERE! Just picture it like how the Incredibox Mod Game Sprunki (created by NyankoBfLol (a 16 year old Thai kid)) boomed unexpectedly into popularity skyrocketing up and everyone is confused what the hell Sprunki even is (even if the creator didn't mean/planned/want this to skyrocket up in popularity). The same can be said for DANDY'S WORLD after its release on June 14th, 2024. But, don't worry, we're here to break it easily for you (without making it look bad).
DANDY'S WORLD took off the record because it mixes that cute, friendly, and old-school cartoon look with a survival challenge that’s actually tough to beat when you want to get all badges/achievements, unlock new Toons through collecting research, or making it to Floor 100 in a so-called Run (either Solo or with a team). Unlike a lot of other horror games on ROBLOX that just use simple or intensive jumpscares, this one forces you to really work with your team to outrun the Twisteds while you and your team have to extract all machines on every floor while avoiding getting spotted, hit, and killed by Twisteds, which a so-called Distractor will distract them while you extract all the machines.
It became a huge trend (still) because there are so many different Toons to master and a ton of hidden secrets to find within the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. That balance of a cute art style of the characters and a survival gameplay challenge, that's actually less horrifying (we should admit, DW is not really a horror game as it's more safe horror with not a single jumpscare), is exactly why many players are still obsessed with it today due to the cute design and appearances of Toons and their interactions with others.
... oh yeah, and of course: Many children play it, too. What do you expect? (No hate nor offense.)

Q2: Uh huh... alright, but what are
The PROs and CONs of this ROBLOX game?
There's a lot of our DANDY'S WORLD players saying different kind of things on what the good and bad thing is of playing this "cute but dark" 'horror' ROBLOX game. Everyone has different perspectives/views and experience because they also started off on a blank page and filling it their own way as they play through it. But, fear not! To make things easier without having to go through tons of DW player's thoughts to DANDY'S WORLD [ALPHA], we'll pick the ones that are more important.

PROs
Replayability, good variety of unique characters and enemies, not to mention trinkets that can be used to boost or balance out characters
1. Gameplay is good.
2. You can have fun in the hub world by interacting with people.
3. Most of the character design are good as well.
4. Lot of potential.
Fun characters, interesting start of a lore
AI answers
High-tension gameplay, a charming art style, and deep character variety.
CONs
1. Main take way too much grind.
2. The game needs more mechanics to make it interesting.
3. Some twisted are way too powerful ex: twisted goob.
4. There are some glitches but I'm sure they will be patched soon.
Infinity, repetitiveness, inability to AFK safely; especially alone, inability to give or drop items, lack of speed upgrades (when even numbered floors are finished)
Despite the cons, the game is still playable and fun with the right team and build (stats and upgrades)
Not being able to drop things, no hiding spots (in my opinion), snipers can spawn in blackouts, the information you get from completing 50% research on twisteds suck, half the time the information isn't about them as a character, it's about them as an NPC and by the time you've been playing long enough to get 50% research on them you already know that stuff, you can get screwed trying to find the elevator if you take a wrong turn since the arrow goes directly through walls you can't
AI answers
Repetitive tasks, a steep learning curve, and a demanding, sometimes exclusive, community meta
Conclusion
Ultimately, DANDY’S WORLD is a game that rewards patience, strategy, and social cooperation. While new players might find the initial grind for Ichor and the steep learning curve of the Twisteds encounters a bit demanding, the payoff lies in the deep character variety and the satisfaction of mastering mastery of a Toon or a quest and complex floors with a solid team. If you enjoy games that prioritize atmosphere, unique character builds, and a community-driven mystery, the creative Pros far outweigh the Cons. Even with its current Alpha-stage challenges, the game offers a unique cute but dark experience that you simply won't find anywhere else on the Roblox platform (except if you're looking for games or a mod that inspired itself off of DW).
Q3: I'm starting to play it but...
How and where do I start?
We get it. Nervousness and embarrassment in a ROBLOX game with players that already are a complete pro or expert in it is not a new thing and it's normal to be that way as you start off a blank page and you somehow got to write in it for the first time, thinking first what you should write on it. We'll make it simple for you through one of our community's users very detailed and good explanation and break some parts down for you.

Maps and Floors
Get familiar with maps. You'll have the common maps show up between floors 1-9, after 9 I believe you'll get more "special" and rarer maps, such as mains maps or the garages which are a bit more challenging thanks to being smaller/bigger/set up differently than the common ones.
Don't run around like a headless chicken, I find by going around the map in a circle you'll have better odds at surviving as well as locating machines. Rodger is the way to go if you want to get more research, furthermore trinkets given upon completion of twisteds. He's also a great way to get used to stamina conservation, since his lower movement speed forces you to take your time.
Speaking of time, don't rush!! There's no time limit on the floors. You don't need to "babysit" Glisten as many people say. People will often say "I'll babysit!" When he shows up, however, he will actually let you know when to check up on him. His count down bar is 90 seconds long, after which he'll shatter and that's not good, but at 60 seconds he will give you a pop up. Something among the lines of "I don't want to be alone". Pause what you're doing and go find him, that way you're not walking around with him all the time and praying he happens to wander to a machine briefly.
With blackouts, if you angle your camera to be looking through any glass surface (windows and even Rodgers face!), you'll be able to see MUCH better. You can see if twisteds are coming or going which is really helpful!
Voting Cards
Use your voting cards wisely. If in a team and a medical card shows up, keep in mind that cards are limited! There's only 2 medical cards that you can use. Just because one team mate lost a heart, doesn't mean you should waste a card. But if say your whole team is down a few hearts, then it's worth using. Furthermore, don't bother picking the cards that effect blackouts, Ichor leaks or the ice. They only lower the chances by 0.5% each time. Blackout chances cap at 30%, meaning if you were to chose all of the available blackout cards, it will only make the cap to 25% instead. Not really worth it in the early game.
Items
Tapes are honestly a better choice to go with over event cards, or even "gambling" as we call it (where the player is given a random item if you have the inventory space for it) learn how to manage items.
A Box Of Chocolate (commonly referred to as a BOC), is much better than having just a singular chocolate bar.
Same thing with the Bottle Of Pop (abb.: BOP).
Medkits are better than Bandaids (Bands and Meds- unless you're playing as a Main with 2 hearts then the healing items both do the same). Also if you find a Med, and you already have a full inventory plus a band, get yourself hit, use that band and pick up the med. It's one extra heart for you! As well as be prepared for Twisted Gigi. If you have the option to, try and put your best items in your furthest inventory space.
Twisted Gigi will only steal the first items you have, so by having things infront of your good items you'll be less likely to have them stolen! Keep a mental note of where items are. Let's say you have a good inventory already, and you find something. A Bottle Of Pop, Box of Chocolate, Speed Candy, anything like that. And let's say you're in a bad situation, you used up all your items, and you're panicking? Well you can think about where to grab those items you might have found previously. In a pinch, sometimes all it takes is running and grabbing that one chocolate you found. You wouldn't believe how many times this has saved me before!
AFK spots
AFK spots are your friends! Go on YouTube and search up DANDY'S WORLD AFK spots. These spots are places that the Twisteds will not path to. You'll be safe to idle there, as well as sometimes even run to inorder to be safe from being spotted. Adding to this, coat hangers and certain walls are also great. Even if you think your butt is hanging out and SURELY the blood/Ichor hungry Twisteds will find you? They might not. They usually lack a lot of... Basic intelligence. Twisteds are pretty blind for the most part (Brusha and Pebble being exceptions). They can see ahead of them just like how eyes work. They have a panned out view, plus a circle around them (meaning you can't exactly get really close behind them and give them a tap on the shoulder if that makes sense XD).
Stealth
And depending on your Toon's stealth, you also have a pretty much bubble around you. Toons with high stealth can get closer to Twisteds without being seen (assuming you're not approaching them from infront), compared to low stealth Toons who can't get too close without being spotted. Essentially both toons and Twisted have bubbles around them saying that if your bubble and a Twisted bubble collides, you'll be seen. So just be aware of this when you're near a Twisted or ones getting close. Don't be afraid to hop off a machine before you get spotted.
If you see a Twisted coming your way, you can get off the machine and leave before you're seen (unless of course you're stuck in a skill check!)

Q4: I'm stepping into the community/fandom.
Is there anything I should be aware of?
If you are about to join in a DANDY'S WORLD related community/fandom, we sure got to tell you some heads up! Or if you are already in one, welcome, but we still have to give you newcomers a heads up when it comes to interacting with the community's/fandom's users, what you will encounter while looking at some posts or stuff, and how you can prevent making yourself and/or the community look bad.
We are not meaning this negatively to you and the DW communities/fandoms. We want to help you to prevent some bad things happening within the community/fandom and keep you safe and a good as possible person! (We aren't forcing you though!). Keep also in mind, that we aren't making fun or making those fans who are into it. Not everyone is the same.

Shipping and Ship Artworks
In the DANDY'S WORLD community/fandom (and all over social media like TikTok), you’ll likely see a lot of ships (e.g. Fruitcake and Shellvision).
While most of this is just for fun and creative expression, it can sometimes lead to heated debates. Our advice is to respect everyone’s preferences even if you don't like ship/shipping in general or at all.
As long as the art stays appropriate and follows community guidelines, it’s best to live and let live (we can't do anything about it).
If you see something you don't like, simply scroll past or ignore as best as you can! See something inappropiate (e.g. proshipping that involves a minor (Toodles) or a pet (Pebble or Coal) Toon character? Report right away as this is strictly against the community guidelines.)
Roleplaying
Roleplaying (RP/RPing) is a huge part of the community, ranging from casual chat-based stories to deep lore explorations.
When joining an RP, always check the host's rules first, as everyone has different boundaries. Some groups prefer strictly canon behavior, while others allow AU(s) (Alternate Universe) ideas. Being a good roleplayer means being cooperative and making sure everyone involved is having a good time.
If you don't roleplay, simply don't join or being a nuisance by disturbing/interrupting them. Exceptions go if they roleplay in your Reddit post, you can tell them to stop or tell to move to DM (Chat) instead of your Reddit post's comment section.
Toxicity
Like any fast-growing fandom, you might occasionally run into gatekeeping or aggressive behavior over small details.
If you encounter someone being rude or trying to start drama, the best move is to not engage. Keep your interactions friendly, and don't let a few loud voices ruin your excitement for the game.
Griefers and Campers
In the DANDY'S WORLD [ALPHA] ROBLOX game, you might run into griefers.
These are players who intentionally try to ruin a run by leading Twisteds toward teammates or failing tasks or doing absolutely nothing (camping) on purpose. This can be VERY frustrating, but don't let it discourage you.
The best way to handle this is to find a reliable group through the subreddit or Discord. Many on YouTube also play cool and smart to humble or humiliate the griefers. That's up to you if you want to do that for ABSOLUTE CINEMA content. But, the better way is: Playing with a trusted team which makes the experience much smoother and keeps the focus on survival, not sabotage.
... Don't think about me. I'm a Pebble that ain't no griefer unlike those Pebble griefers you normally know + I never even played DW once so I'm clean lol. I just contribute for the community for a living.
